About me

I never imagined that one day my personal story and my career would intersect the way they have.

I wear a lot of different hats: wife, mom, physical therapist, national park enthusiast, pet mom, and DIYer. But lately, I’ve been stepping into my Pelvic Neuro Project era.

Why I created it

Pelvic health deserves a bigger place in the recovery conversation.

I created The Pelvic Neuro Project to help make neurological pelvic health easier to understand—because bladder, bowel, and pelvic health deserve to be a bigger part of the recovery conversation.

As both a pelvic floor physical therapist and someone living with a cervical spinal cord injury, I know how isolating these challenges can feel and how difficult it can be to find reliable, easy-to-understand information. My hope is that this page helps you feel more informed, more empowered, and a little less alone.

How this project is built

Education first. Care enabled.

The public experience begins with the questions people actually ask: why a symptom changed, whether it may be urgent, who can help, and how to prepare for care.

Clear before clinical

Lead with the questions people actually ask and explain professional language as we go.

Honest about limits

Keep education separate from diagnosis, avoid cure claims, and make urgent guidance plain.

Made for real life

Include the roles of sensation, mobility, access, fatigue, care partners, and the whole care team.
